The latest project from Pomonok Pictures -- 'Happy Birthday Harold'

You may have been wondering where new episodes of Finding Felicity have gone. Well, as it turns out, our hosts – Teresa Jusino and Katherine Street – are both in the thick of pre-production on Pomonok Pictures' latest filmed project, Happy Birthday Harold! Teresa is the short film's writer/director and producer, and Kat is the film's Director of Photography!

All of that is to say that Finding Felicity will return in a couple of weeks once the Happy Birthday Harold shoot is over. And speaking of the shoot...

Happy Birthday Harold will be shooting THIS WEEKEND - Saturday, October 18 and Sunday, October 19. The production team is in the process of getting last-minute logistics sorted, and we're thrilled to bring what we think is a high-quality and important story to all of you.

However, there's an important piece currently missing. We need BACKGROUND PERFORMERS. This short centers around a backyard birthday party, and right now - other than our main cast of four - this party has no guests! WE NEED YOU!

If you're in L.A. and are available on SUNDAY, OCTOBER 19TH, come hang out on set with us! You'll be well fed and cared for, and you'll have the chance to work with some of Pomonok's most talented cast and crew! Check out the details here:

Graphic that reads: "BACKGROUND PERFORMERS NEEDED FOR ONE DAY – OCT 19 // Pomonok Entertainment is seeking 5-10 background performers for one day of a shoot on a short film called 'Happy Birthday Harold,' a period piece set in May 1941. The scene: a casual, backyard birthday party for the titular Harold, who is an adult. It’s a family atmosphere, so while most of the party guests are adults, we would welcome children in the background as well (elementary school age and up). The performers: we’re looking for 5-10 adults of any gender (kids would be in addition to that number) who ideally have clothing that would read as period-appropriate (1935-1941) – whether it’s actual vintage, costume, or rockabilly couture. Is looking like you just stepped out of the late 1930s something you do regularly? We’d love to have you! If you DON’T have clothes that are exactly right for the period, but happen to have khakis and a beige/cream button-down, or a solid-color, simple cocktail dress that could be passable with accessories and hair, that could work, too! On the day of the shoot, we’d like you to come camera-ready (dressed, hair and make-up done). We might touch up your make up, or change/touch-up your hair, but you should be ready to go. NOTE: natural hair colors ONLY! Dyed hair is fine as long as it’s dyed a natural color. No bright pinks, purples, greens, blues, etc. The time commitment: our party scene will be shot on Sunday, October 19. Compensation: This is a mostly-volunteer endeavor, so there’s NO PAY. However, you will be fed, get to know folks involved in Pomonok projects, and you’ll be included in Pomonok’s deferred payment plan based on any eventual revenue the short makes. (Details provided in deal memo) IF INTERESTED, EMAIL TEAMPOMONOK@GMAIL.COM W/THE SUBJECT “HBDH BACKGROUND.” Include: contact info, photo(s) of the clothes you have w/you wearing an outfit in at least one."

The location is a private home in Arleta (10-15 mins away from North Hollywood).

Now, while we prefer that our background performers provide their own wardrobe and come camera ready, we don't want that to be a deterrent! We are pulling additional period costumes and accessories for background should we need them. BUT, if you want to participate, but don't have wardrobe, you will have to be on the smaller side, as our costumes are vintage and run smaller. For femme clothing, you'd need to be a women's dress size 0-4 to be safe. For masc clothing, you'd need to be no larger than a men's medium. And yes, all genders are welcome, and if we end up working together, we'll dress you according to your presentation.
