STAGED READING IN NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA!
Pomonok Theatrical is producing a one-night-only event in North Hollywood to raise awareness and ignite action around protecting reproductive rights, and to raise funds for a worthwhile organization doing important work in that arena.
Come to a staged reading of THE TURNAWAY PLAY on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 18 at the Loft Ensemble Theater (11031 Camarillo Street, North Hollywood) There will be TWO PERFORMANCES that evening – one at 7pm and another at 8:30pm. Tickets are $15, and ALL PROCEEDS from ticket sales will benefit the National Network of Abortion Funds.

Based on the groundbreaking Turnaway Study, THE TURNAWAY PLAY features real stories of women who were denied abortions across the U.S.
The Turnaway Study, conducted by Dr. Diana Greene-Foster and her team of researchers, followed 1,000 women over the course of 5 years and documented what really happens when women are denied access to abortions and how it affects them mentally, emotionally, physically, and economically. THE TURNAWAY PLAY presents the stories of those women, as well as the research team, to encourage conversation among communities while destigmatizing and humanizing reproductive rights.
